DESCRIPTION: This painting is titled “A Whole New World” – depicting an imaginary new galaxy which is discovered for the first time.
I want to express that we are in amidst a situation many have never seen before. There is substantial anxiety induced that largely from uncertainty. The spread of the COVID-19 virus does not honor political boundaries, religions, or racial and ethnic differences.
It is in a sense “a whole new world” for us, a critical time which shows us how vital the role of science is to tackle global challenges, and how rational and scientific thinking can bring out the best in our humanity especially in a global crisis.
I would like to take this opportunity to thanks all the frontline medical workers, the scientists and researchers around the world supporting the analysis of the virus and the creation of new vaccines.
Moreover, I have a deep appreciation for all you are doing such as social distancing and implementation of preventive measures in order to stop the global pandemic. These actions, though sometimes stressful, are all the act of love and generosity toward others by eliminating a possible way for the spread of virus.
May science give us the wisdom and guide us along our paths towards love and peace.
