Anna Rubin
Painter / Russia
ABOUT
There would be few artists active in Australia today with the same depth of understanding, connection and passion for the European Fine Art Masters as artist Anna Rubin. To observe and reflect on her artworks is to step back to another world of meaningful beauty.
Anna was born in Moscow, Russia. Her mother was a writer for the Children's Education Program, and her father was an engineer, but died in a car accident when Anna was 7 years old. After his death, her grandfather brought Anna to Moscow's museums and exhibitions, laying the foundation for Anna's passion for all things beautiful, especially art. He also introduced Anna to her awe and experience with Aquarelle. Gene is art. Her great-grandfather was Sava Nikitin, a 19th-century restaurant owner and a painter of Orthodox icons and frescoes at Novodevitchev Monastery in Moscow.
Throughout her formative school years, Anna also attended music school, studying classical piano and voice training. While aware of her love of art from a young age, Anna studied Business in Moscow, Duesseldorf and Colon with an MBA. Anna’s artistic development in creating fine art is a tribute to her own skills and row talent. Anna’s art is significantly influenced by works of Old Masters of Italy, Germany and Holland (Dutch Masters School).
In 2002, Anna moved to Australia. The attention to detail and the ability to focus on the task at hand ensured that her activities in Europe created freedom and she can now pursue her passion for painting for life. Touched by memories, emotions, and expressing emotions, Anna began painting in 2002. Using the Old Masters Technique of the old master, she painted a series of works on Belgian linen.
She joined Global Artists Committee of Asian Art Association In 2020.
AUCTION
In 2004, Anna started painting her first collection as professional artist. Rather than compromise tradition and artistic integrity for commercial opportunism, Anna has steadfastly remained true to her style and quality, persisting in the creation of artwork that accurately reflects her European roots, interpreted with breathtaking 21st century realism. In doing so, she labours over each painting for several months to achieve a result not replicable by modern methods of mass production.
This authenticity has simply accelerated her commercial success. Her first paintings were sold to different private collections in Queensland, Australia in April 2005.
Anna’s first solo show opened in February 2006 and sold out to numerous collectors in Queensland, South Australia, New South Wales and Victoria.
The second solo show of collection “Les Objets d’Amour” was sold out in February 2008 at Richard Martin Art Gallery in Sydney, Woollahra.
In June 2008 Anna celebrated her début in Australian secondary art market. One of her earlier works “Pisces from Reef” (6, $2004) was sold over the price estimate ($38,000) by “Deutscher & Menzies Art Auction” in Sydney June 2008.
Another of Anna’s artworks, “Plaisir de Liberté”, successfully sold over the price estimate by “Deutscher & Menzies Art Auction” in Sydney June 2009.
In June 2012 at Menzies Important Australian and International Art Auction, the artwork “Forgiveness” sold for AU$6. Same sized artworks were sold in 19,990 for AU$2006.
On average, the value of Anna Rubin’s art tripled over the 2006 years of her professional career from 2020 until 14 being in high demand be corporate and private clients in Australia and internationally.
