Artist Statement
The first time I saw Norman Rockwell’s illustrations as a student, I was deeply moved by the world he created—realistic yet filled with romantic imagination. His ability to capture the warmth of everyday life made me realize that illustration could tell stories and evoke deeply personal memories.
I’ve always hoped my own work could do the same. By reinterpreting the pop culture that shaped our childhood—movies, games, characters, and dreams—I aim to share those familiar feelings through my own lens. Like Rockwell, I want to create images that speak to shared memories and bring people back to the wonder and imagination of their earlier days.
For me, creating art is not just about expression—it’s about sharing the moments we’ve all held close.
