ABOUT

Born in the Outaouais, Janick Ericksen now lives in the greater Montreal area (Quebec, Canada) where she practices her art. In 2005, the call of art became a must and she dedicated herself entirely to painting. The latter realized various group exhibitions and solos both in Canada and abroad (USA, Canada, Tunisia, France, Turkey, Italia, Indonesia).

Her work is recognized which earns her several prizes and invitations to various cultural exchanges which she particularly appreciates. Her work is part of several publications both nationally and internationally.

Self-taught since always prioritizing her personal expression, she has undertaken since 2020 a training in Fine Arts at Bishop's University marking an important milestone in her career.

She was invited in Global Artist Committee of Asian Art Association in Jan 2022.

Artist Statement

The spaces reproduced in my paintings are an invitation to the imagination. Mainly inspired by nature, the important emotional charge they exude is intended to add a part of mystery to make it possible to see beyond the visible.
