About
June Wang, originally from China and currently based in Australia, is a versatile artist who blends psychology, philosophical inquiry, and artistic expression into her work. She is known for her exploration of life and emotions through abstract forms, capturing profound meanings with poetic and philosophical depth. Her creations span various styles, including abstract art, nature-inspired pieces, and watercolors.
June’s creative philosophy is deeply influenced by her background in psychology and her focus on the inner world. Her art explores emotional flows and the rhythm of life, showcasing the richness of colors and the symbolism of shapes. As an artist, she believes that art serves as a bridge connecting the inner self to the external world, offering a unique lens through which to view life.
In 2024, June held her solo exhibition, "I’m June: Emotion and Arcadia," at The Shop Gallery in Sydney, Australia. This exhibition featured a diverse collection of works that not only demonstrated her passion for art but also highlighted her approach to merging therapeutic insights with philosophical reflections. Through her art, she strives to build connections with others, creating moments of emotional and soulful resonance.
In November 2024, she was invited to join the Asian Arts Association Singapore (Painting).
Artist Statement
As an artist, my work is rooted in a deep exploration of human emotions and the inner world. For me, art is more than just a visual medium—it is a language that expresses emotions, conveys philosophical reflections, and offers an experience that transcends the ordinary, reaching into the depths of the soul. I believe that art has the power to break barriers of culture, language, and time, guiding people to discover peace and strength within themselves.
In my creations, abstract colors and forms are not merely visual elements; they symbolize complex emotions and life experiences. I use the flow of colors to depict the movement of emotions and dynamic brushstrokes to capture the rhythm of life. Through this visual language, I hope to convey the healing power of art, providing viewers with a space to find solace and clarity amid a chaotic world.
Art, for me, is a dialogue with the world and a pathway to self-healing. I am deeply fascinated by the relationship between the individual and the universe, the delicate flow of human emotions, and how art can foster an understanding of ourselves and our connections with others. My goal is to create works that not only express my inner world but also invite viewers to find resonance and meaning within their own.
