Merve Atılgan is a Istanbul based multidisciplinary and multidimensional artist, illustrator and animator mainly focused at children's book illustration, concept art and character design. Graduated from the Maltepe Uni. fine arts faculty of cartoon and animation department in first place. Creating and dancing since five years and actively illustrating children’s book, posters and illustrations for magazines and publishers as a freelancer for years. She worked with ( Song Of The Old City illustrated by her and written by Anna Pellicioli) Penguin Random house and Google as a ‘Google Doodle artist’. The picture book illustrated by her ( The Land Of Recycling)’ve choosen The White Ravens Books Catalog. And also she’s created, her first short cell animation ‘Üçlü (Triple)’ for Local Musician Band ‘Paz’in 2020.

She was invited in Global Artist Committee of Asian Art Association in August 2022.

Art is a way to discover and create my own world and flowing with life itself. Creating illustrations, paintings and dancing are reflections of my own universe and how I stay in the moment. Its not just how I think but also its how I feel. A connection between soul and universe.

In 2017, Her illustration “Museum Of Masked Adults” has been selected for Cheltenham illustration awards annual book in UK. And the social media project, illustrated by her, called ‘ Cazdan Filmler’ for Akbank Jazz Festival won a Bronze award in the Stevie Awards Best Use of Instagram category. She’s actively participating in group exhibitions and creating in her studio for years.
