About
Niu Zhengxing is a Ph.D. art student at the renowned Repin Institute of Fine Arts in Russia, born in Lanzhou, Gansu, China. At 17, he embarked on his journey at the prestigious Repin Institute, studying oil painting and progressing from the Oil Painting Department to a Ph.D. in Art History. During his oil painting studies, the institute equipped him with substantial academic knowledge and established his foundation in oil painting. In his Ph.D. program, he transitioned to the field of foreign art history, focusing on Belgian surrealism. This comprehensive study, spanning from classical to contemporary art, has enriched his understanding of diverse art styles and greatly inspired his creative work.
In October 2024, he was invited to join the Asian Art Association Singapore (Painting).

• Evening in Sochi, an oil sketch, was selected for the Small Works Exhibition at the National Art Museum of China in 2023.
• Multiple oil paintings are part of the collection at the Repin Institute of Fine Arts.
• Several works have been exhibited in the St. Petersburg Union of Artists exhibitions.
• His graduation piece, Dream, earned the highest honor at the Repin Institute of Fine Arts, was awarded a medal, and is now part of the Repin Institute Museum’s collection.
• A reproduction of a master work from his third year was also added to the collection at the Repin Institute Museum.
