About
Dr.Rubens is a Taiwan-born classical artist, design director and director. CE in Interactive Technology from the Rhode Island School of Design and a PhD in Science and Technology from the National Taiwan Normal University.
He responds to classical calligraphy, painting and art with the latest technological aesthetics, and carries out logical integration in related fields such as design, film, games, interactive science, XR, AI, AIoT and Digital Twins. His avant-garde and innovative works have been recognized in more than 60 art and film festivals and CG competitions around the world and Europe and the United States, including being shortlisted for ASIAGRAPH 2023/2020 in Tokyo, Japan, Best Experimental Film Award at Delta International Film Festival in the United States, USA New York Neorealism Film Awards Film Award and the Best Experimental Image Award at the Zeal International Film Festival in France.
Dr.Rubens is currently an assistant professor of digital media at Macau University of Science and Technology. Previously, he served as an adjunct assistant professor of multimedia at Shih Hsin University in Taiwan, a lecturer for the Computer Animation Competition at Yunlin University of Science and Technology, a lecturer at Southeast University of Science and Technology and many universities.
In June 2024, he was invited to join the Asian Art Association Singapore (Painting).

Dr.Rubens is deeply influenced by classical calligraphy and Western painting in his artistic creation. He is committed to inheriting these traditional art forms and innovating on this basis with the spirit of vividness and charm. Through modern technological aesthetics, he combines the essence of classical art with modern technological means to create contemporary and artistic works. His works not only retain the charm of classical art, but also incorporate elements of modern design, showing the perfect fusion of tradition and modernity.
In the field of movies and games, he uses his visual innovation ability to perfectly combine complex visual effects with storylines. He is good at using the latest visual technologies, such as XR and AI, to create engaging visual experiences. His works have not only been highly praised for their artistry, but have also made major breakthroughs in technology, making him an innovator in the film and game industries.
He actively researches the application of digital twin technology, and his design concepts are postmodernism and phenomenology. Emphasis on the subjective perception of universal things and the importance of experience and emotion. Arouse resonance and emotional resonance in the time dimension.
His aesthetic concept emphasizes the importance of symbols and images, and focuses on the use of symbols and images to create deep emotional and aesthetic effects, and extends it to fields such as smart cities, telecommunications management, and space management. His digital logic not only improves the efficiency of city management, but also plays an important role in telecommunications and space management. Innovative applications provide different perspectives and solutions for future smart cities and technological development.
