Artist Statement
Erhu, as a traditional Chinese musical instrument, has a history of thousands of years, and its playing skills have developed from oral transmission by folk artists to the establishment of modern schools, reflecting the cultural inheritance. To keep pace with the times and the world, folk music requires artistic innovation, and the revival and prosperity of national music is the historical mission of a musician in the new era.
I learned erhu in order to inherit and promote national culture, which is my lifelong pursuit. I now have many labels on my body, but what I value most is still the identity of the people's teacher. From my own experience of learning erhu, I can especially understand the difficulties of amateurs who do not have a good teacher to guide them. Therefore, if the erhu enthusiasts from all over the country who do not know each other ask for help, I will enthusiastically answer questions and provide help free of charge.
