Writing is a way to inspire creativity and communication; it is a way to organize thoughts and self-talk; it is a powerful tool for organizing thoughts and establishing opinions. Through communication, the influence of the written word can infiltrate the soul of a single person, as well as concretely transform complex public affairs and shape the lives of many.

The annual United Chinese Literary Award is like a literary feast, where a group of writing enthusiasts gather at the United Chinese Literary Award to portray the ever-changing literary landscape with their pen and ink, and present their profound thoughts on life, society and the future. Through their words, we saw thousands of expressions and were delighted to encounter the abundant vitality of youth.

United Chinese Literary Award has received attention and support from all walks of life. The award ceremony for the 16th contest in 2022 invited Taiwan's Undersecretary of Education Lin Mingyu, New Taipei Mayor Hou Youyi, New Taipei City Education Bureau Director Zhang Mingwen, Taipei City Education Bureau Director Tang Zhimin, and United Daily News President You Meiyue to serve as award presenters.

The power of the pen is a thousand pounds, and the connotation of writing is the key to change the status quo. As the United Chinese Literary Award enters its 17th year, the theme of the competition is "A stroke of the pen, a start of practice, a new vision of collaboration and integration", which encourages students to discover, explore and practice their own ideas in the world of writing.

In 2023, the Asian Art Association Singapore will once again join hands with the United Daily News in Taiwan to organize the 17th United Chinese Literary Award for Singapore and Malaysia, and invites participants to attend the award presentation ceremony on February 4, 2024 in New Taipei City. The competition aims to encourage students to express their thoughts and feelings through writing, and to improve their observation skills, language expression and writing skills.
