World Charity Painting Competition 2023
The Singapore Red Cross provides the following services:
Persons with severe disability
- Red Cross Home, and Day Activity Centre for the Disabled provides residential, respite and day care services for 100 adults and youth with multiple disabilities, to ensure their physical, mental, emotional and social well-being.
Disadvantaged families (including children and youth)
- Meals with Love provides nutritious food monthly to single elderlies, and skipped-generation and single-parent families
- Stories for All reading programme for preschoolers to improve literacy
- Young Hearts home/center-based tuition, mentorship and holiday programmes for children and youth
Isolated elderly with little to no support
- TransportAid makes 12,000 trips each year, bringing wheelchair-bound patients from lower income homes to and from their lifesaving healthcare appointments eg. dialysis, diabetic treatment, physiotherapy and rehabilitation
- ElderAid physical, mental and social activities for community aging in-place, including fortnightly home visits, befriending calls and outings
- Home Monitoring and Eldercare (HoME+) for home monitoring and emergency response for seniors living on their own
