overview
The Guzheng, also known as the Zheng and the Qin Zheng, has become the most influential traditional Chinese musical instrument in the world after more than 2,500 years of development. In order to pass on and promote Chinese traditional culture around the world, in 2022, the Asian Art Association Singapore gathered the world's top guzheng masters as judges to hold the first "World Guzheng Competition 2022", which was a great success with over 100 participants from Singapore, Malaysia, USA, Canada, New Zealand, Thailand, China, Hong Kong and Macau. All Platinum Prize, Gold Prize and Silver Prize winning entries and testimonials can be viewed for free on YouTube @AsianArtAssociation channel.
In 2023, we will be hosting the World Guzheng Competition 2023, building on last year's success, where we will be awarding trophies cup and medals to the participants and inviting judges to write comments for each participant. We look forward to seeing guzheng participants from all over the world again. The best entries of this competition will still be showcased in various platforms of Asian Art Association Singapore.
