- Entries are open to photographers of all ages, nationalities and levels of experience.
- Entries must be original and related to the theme.
- The competition is divided into the following groups, and entrants are invited to submit their works according to the groups:
WILD IN THE CITY: Capturing wildlife in the city, such as birds, insects, trees, etc., showing how the wilderness takes root in urban life and forms a unique ecosystem.
URBAN OASIS: Showcases green spaces in the city such as parks, green spaces, plant walls, and rooftop gardens, reflecting the survival and development of nature in the city.
HUMAN-NATURE INTERACTION: Records scenes of human interaction with urban nature, such as morning runners, walkers in parks, and citizens moving in natural environments, demonstrating human ecological participation in the city.
COEXISTENCE OF INDUSTRY AND NATURE: focuses on the coexistence of urban infrastructure such as industrial buildings and transport facilities with nature, reflecting how human beings protect and maintain natural ecology in the context of industrialisation.
URBAN WILDERNESS BOUNDARY: Photographs the intersection of the city with the countryside or undeveloped areas, showing how the wilderness at the edge of the city contrasts or blends with the urban environment.
CLIMATE AND CITIES: documenting the impact of climate change on urban environments, such as extreme weather events like heavy rainfall, droughts and floods, and their impact on urban nature and human life.
WILDERNESS CITIES AT NIGHT: Capturing the natural elements of cities at night, such as moonlit parks, nocturnal animals, and the interplay of city lights and nature, to show the beauty of wilderness in the urban nightscape.
- There is no limit to the number of entries per participant and a maximum of 20 photographs of the same group may be submitted at any one time. If more photographs are to be submitted, multiple uploads will be required and multiple entry fees will have to be paid.
- The entries must not violate morality and ethics, and must not infringe on the rights of others, including but not limited to portrait rights and copyrights.
- Entries can be taken with digital cameras, film cameras or mobile phones.
- Participants shall submit their photos in the form of electronic files.
- The file format of each photo shall be JPEG with a resolution of not less than 1080 pixels.
- The file size of each photo shall not exceed 10MB.
- Each photo must have a title, location and a short description (no more than 100 words).
- All entries must be submitted by the specified deadline. All entries must be submitted by the specified deadline. Late submissions will not be accepted.
- Judging Criteria: The judges will consider and score the entries based on the aesthetic value of the photos, the expression and presentation of the theme, the use and innovation of photographic techniques, and the unique perspective and discovery of World Heritage.
- Prize Setting:
PLATINUM (1): S$99 prize money, Free exhibition fees at the Singapore Botanic Gardens, and Competition certificate
GOLD (Several): Competition certificate
SILVER (Several): Competition certificate
BRONZE (Several): Competition certificate
OUTSTANDING (Other all entrants): Competition certificate
- Please ensure that the information submitted is true and accurate. A handling fee of SGD 10 will be charged for each change of registration information (including but not limited to name, category, etc.) after the submission of the registration form.
- Participants retain the copyright of their photos, but grant the organisers the right to use the photos in collections, publicity, exhibitions, publications, etc. without payment of fees.
- Participants should ensure that the content of the submitted photos is true and accurate, and should not be falsified or created with the help of artificial intelligence. The organiser has the right to review the entries and any works found to be in violation of the rules will be disqualified.
- The organiser has the final right to interpret this activity. By registering for the competition, you agree to abide by the selection rules and the final results of the organiser's selection.
