Lend a Hand to
those around You
World Charity Painting Competition 2023
OVERVIEW
Since 2020, Asian Art Association Singapore has been organizing the World Charity Painting Competition to bring the power of art to the attention of the community and engage with public issues. In past competitions, we have focused on the global challenges of COVID-19 and the war in Ukraine, and have successfully organized painting competitions on the themes of "Fighting COVID-19”, "New Hope" and "Love and Peace" in collaboration with the Singapore National Centre for Infectious Diseases, Tan Tock Seng Hospital, the Singapore Red Cross and the Embassy of Ukraine in Singapore. The 2022 competition winning collection "Love and Peace" was presented as a gift by the Ukrainian embassy to the ambassadors of European countries in Singapore.
This year, we will continue our partnership with the Singapore Red Cross in the “Lend a hand to those around you: World Charity Painting Competition 2023". (Please visit the "About Singapore Red Cross" webpage to learn more the services offered by the organization)
In collaboration with the Singapore Red Cross, this year's World Charity Painting Competition aims to raise awareness of the need for concern and support for those around you. We encourage people to express their care and assistance to those around them through art. A donation of S$9 from the competition entry fee will be donated to the Singapore Red Cross. Each participant will receive an award certificate from the Asian Art Association Singapore and a Certificate of Appreciation from the Singapore Red Cross. The best entries will be featured on the Singapore Red Cross' social media platforms and may be displayed at locations such as SMRT and bus stations. The Singapore Red Cross may also include the best entries in their future promotional materials. All entries will be collected in album and given to celebrities and dignitaries for collection and distribution at Singapore Red Cross facilities.
Let's work together to reach out to those around us through the power of art and bring warmth, care and hope to these groups. By participating in the World Charity Painting Competition, let us all contribute to the common good of society. Thank you for your support of Asian Art Association Singapore and the Singapore Red Cross! We look forward to your participation and your wonderful artwork.
