ABOUT

Jiaqiu Liu, born in Chongqing, China in May 1992, graduated from Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts with a major in sculpture and Northeast Normal University with a major in art education. I have loved painting and music since I was a child. Most of my works use the fusion of classical oil painting and Chinese contemporary painting to explore the elegant and intimate painting concept similar to the melody of the guqin, and use the tranquility of painting as a sensory experience. As a contemporary young artist, his creative inspiration comes from the longing for nature and the exploration of human nature, and he uses paintings to show his yearning for and protection of nature and the self-restraint and struggle of human nature. In the process of painting for many years, he has been constantly pursuing innovative forms, expressing the meaning and connotation of his works with a variety of painting methods.

In November 2022, she was invited to join Global Artist Committee of the Asian Art Association.

Artist Statement

When I create these expressionist works, I explore the atmosphere of the picture and study plastic art. At the same time, in terms of background processing, I will randomly create a sense of texture to set off the atmosphere, and adjust the look and feel of the whole picture with calm tones. I hope to enter people's hearts and dreams through my creation. I really like the sense of contradiction in the picture. In a dreamlike blue shadow, there is a strong structural collision, enjoying a quiet and strong juxtaposition effect.
