Asian Art Charity Activity is a charity initiative by the Asian Arts Association Singapore (AAA) to support UNHCR-accredited refugee school students by providing them with arts-for-good programmes. The programme will provide refugee students with learning opportunities in various art fields such as dance, painting, music, photography, yoga, etc., to help them express themselves, release stress and boost their self-confidence through the arts.
After AAA's qualification process, the art volunteers will travel to Johor Bahru, Malaysia, a bridge away from Singapore, to provide the students with art initiation or advancement programmes for five days. The voluntees will be awarded with an Art Volunteer Certificate with the UNHCR Logo by AAA.
ELIGIBILITY
Artists, art teachers and students, and other qualified art lovers from all over the world
Shared with
Mainly Rohingya from Myanmar, aged between 6 and 18 years. They and their parents are recognised as refugees by the UNHCR.

Duration
5 consecutive days, not less than 30 hours
Language
Students are fluent in English and Malay. It is recommended that you use both languages to communicate with students, but you can also teach them Mandarin lessons.
