On 18 April 2024, World Heritage Day, the Asian Art Association Singapore is pleased to announce a World Heritage Photo Competition on the theme of "Exploring and Embracing Diversity" in collaboration with the National Heritage Fund of Singapore's National Heritage Board. This is an event that uses photography as a medium to capture and celebrate the richness and diversity of cultural heritage around the world, as well as the beauty of their diversity and uniqueness.

World Heritage Day is a day to communicate to the world the importance of cultural diversity and historical heritage. This year, we will show the world the charm and uniqueness of diverse cultures through the lens of our cameras. Whether it is ancient architecture, magnificent natural landscapes, traditional handicrafts or various forms of culture created by human beings. They are all our precious heritage that deserves to be explored and presented with care.

This competition will provide a platform for all those who are passionate about photography and heritage conservation to showcase their talents. We welcome all styles and themes of photography, be it landscape photography, humanistic documentary or abstract art, as long as they express the theme of "diversity" and show a unique understanding of World Heritage.

A jury of professional photographers and heritage experts will be invited to select all entries and award the winners with certificates of merit and prizes. The winners will have the chance to win big prizes, an exclusive T-shirt from the National Heritage Board of Singapore, and the best winning entries will be collected into a book to be distributed to the public at major museums and heritage organisations in Singapore.

Participating in this competition is not only a tribute to World Heritage, but also an exploration and embrace of diversity. Let's spread the beauty of cultural diversity together through the power of the lens, and let the light of World Heritage shine in every corner of the world.
