Zhang Jiawei, born in Wuxi in July 1983, won the second prize in the 7th New Concept Composition Competition while studying in Wuxi No. 2002 Middle School in 2003. He entered Shanghai Donghua University in the fall of the same year and started writing under the net name of Xinling. In the summer of 2004, he completed the first historical novel "Allure", which was published by Changjiang Literature and Art Publishing House in March 3. In April 2004, it was listed by the Southern Metropolis Daily as one of the "fifth tiger generals in the post-4s".

He started his first basketball review in Tigers China in 2006. With his outstanding literary talent and deep understanding of basketball, he quickly became a top critic in China's basketball. . On the well-known Chinese knowledge-sharing website Zhihu, Zhang Jiawei is known as "a representative of Zhihu classicism" and is regarded as one of the symbols of Zhihu spirit.

In September 2012, Zhang Jiawei emigrated to France and continued to work in literary creation and sports criticism.

He joined Global Artists Committee of Asian Art Association in 2020.
