Chief Librarian, head of Malaysian Chinese Literature Collection Centre, Editor-in-Chief of Chao Foon Literary Journal. Former Senior lecturer of the Property Management, Lecturer of General Studies Centre, Editorial Committee member of Southern University College Academic Journal, the chairman of the Joint Committee of Johor State Writers Association. Graduated from Master in Science, Property Management Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Skudai.

He has won the New Poetry category at the 10th Malaysian Tertiary Education Literary Awards, the First Prize in short stories category at the 11th Tertiary Literary Awards, the second place in the short stories category at the 12th Tertiary Literary Awards, and The 3rd Xu-Ran Fiction Award in 2024.

In December 2024, he was invited to join the Asian Art Association Singapore (Creative Writing).

Editor of Collection of Malaysian Chinese Gay Short Stories, Raising the Horn: Collection of Malaysian Chinese Gay Short Stories II, Shang Wan-Yun’s The Flea, Singapore Chinese Literature 50 years, Lu Xun in Southeast Asia, May-Fourth Movement in Southeast Asia, From Borneo to the World Chinese Literature: The Literary Journey of Li Yongping & etc. Co-Director of Faham (Documentary, 2018).

Since 2015, Organised the "Southern Literary Journey - Listening to Three or Four Voices from Both Sides of the Strait", until now 25 literary recitation tours had been held. Judges of literary awards, poetry recitation competitions, short films competitions, speech and debate competitions. Co-directed the documentary Faham about the Qizi, which premiered at the Freedom Film Festival in Johor, Malaysia in November 2018.
