Chinese music is a treasure of the Chinese nation and a symbol of Chinese culture. It carries thousands of years of civilizational history of the Chinese nation and is the embodiment of the Chinese national spirit. There are many kinds of Chinese musical instruments, with beautiful timbre and strong national characteristics. With their unique timbre and rhythm, they express the joys, sorrows and joys of the Chinese nation and express the ideal pursuit of the Chinese nation.

The World Chinese Music Competition aims to promote traditional Chinese culture and promote the exchange and development of Chinese music art. Standing at the perfect intersection of East and West, Asian Art Association Singapore will strive to make this event the largest, most influential and most credible professional music event in the global Chinese music industry.

The World Chinese Music Competition aims to promote Chinese traditional culture and the exchange and development of Chinese music. The judging panel of the World Chinese Music Competition consists of renowned Chinese music experts from various countries, and the judging criteria are rigorous and fair, ensuring the fairness and impartiality of the competition.

We invite all Chinese music enthusiasts from all over the world to join us in Singapore, the perfect crossroads of Chinese and Western cultures, so that we can promote the art of Chinese musical instruments together, and wish her to blossom forever.

Highlight

· The world's top Chinese music artists will be the judges, selecting the outstanding contestants and writing their comments.

· Online submission, breaking the geographical limitation, is open to all Chinese music lovers around the world.

ELIGIBILITY

Chinese Musical Instrument Enthusiasts And Professionals Around The World

Type of Musical Instrument

Stringed Instruments: Erhu, Banhu

Wind Instruments: Dizi, Suona, Sheng

Plucked Instruments: Guzheng, Pipa, Yangqin, Guqin, Zhongruan and Liuqin

Chinese Percussion Instruments: Chinese big drums (including hall drums), Paigu (including big drums or combination drums that use both hall drums and Paigu), panel drums, other drums (such as Xinjiang hand drums, Korean long drums), combined percussion solos (Combined solo works based on "different categories" of Chinese percussion instruments are allowed to use no more than three "small categories" of foreign percussion instruments)

Amateur Children Group: 12 years old and below, the performance time not more than 6 minutes, one piece of self-selection, no accompaniment

Amateur Teenager Group: 13 to 17 years old, the performance should not exceed 9 minutes, one piece of own choice, no accompaniment

Amateur Youth Group: 18 to 45 years old, each performance time no more than 10 minutes, one or two songs of your own choice, accompaniment allowed

Amateur Middle-aged and Elderly Group: 46 years old or above, the performance should not exceed 10 minutes, a piece of one's own choice, with accompaniment allowed

Professional Children Group: 12 years old and below, the performance time no more than 6 minutes, one piece of own choice, no accompaniment

Professional Youth Group: 13 to 17 years old, the performance time no more than 9 minutes, one piece of self-selection, no accompaniment

Professional Adult group: 18 years old and above, each performance time no more than 10 minutes, one or two songs of your own choice, optional accompaniment

Ensemble group

Amateur Ensemble Minor Group: All members are 18 years old or younger, the performance should not exceed 10 minutes, one piece of self-selection

Amateur Ensemble for All Age Group: No age limit, the performance no more than 10 minutes, one piece of your own choice

Professional Ensemble Minor Group: All members are 18 years old or younger, the performance should not exceed 10 minutes, one piece of self-selection

Professional Ensemble for All Age Group: No age limit, the performance time no more than 10 minutes, one piece of your own choice

There are no restrictions on the types of musical instruments, but Chinese musical instruments should account for no less than 50% of the total, and the number of people (excluding conductors) should be at least 2 and at most 20.

Entry process

Step 1: Record the performance video horizontally by yourself. Before the performance, face the camera and announce, "I am XXX, from XX city, XX country. Today is DD, MM, 2024. The following program is for the World Chinese Music Competition organized by the Asian Art Association Singapore. The instrument I use to play is xxx, I participate in the xxx group, and the name of the performance is xxx." and then performed directly without any cuts.

Step 2: Submit the registration form and the network disk link of the video file on the official website of the competition before 24:00 on May 31, 2024. This time is Singapore time.

Step 3: Visit the official website of the World Chinese Music Competition on June 30, 2024 to check the competition results.

Scoring criteria and competition rules

Awards

PLATINUM: 5% of the entries in each group. The winners will be awarded with a trophy, a certificate of award and a certificate of the judge's comment.

GOLD: 10% of the entries in each group. The winners will be awarded with a trophy, a certificate of award and a certificate of the judge's comment.

SILVER: 15% of the entries in each group. The winners will be awarded with a trophy, a certificate of award and a certificate of the judge's comment.

BRONZE: 20% of the entries in each group. The winners will be awarded with a trophy, a certificate of merit and a certificate of the judge's comment.

OUTSTANDING WORKS: 50% of the entries in each group. The winners will be awarded with a medal, a certificate of award and a certificate of the judge's comment.

OUTSTANDING TUTOR: The tutors of all participants, a certificate of award

OUTSTANDING ORGANIZATION: Group registration institutions, Award trophies and Award certificates

The Organising Committee reserves the right to adjust the number of prizes according to the level of performance in each group.
