· The "World Chinese Music Competition 2024" is hosted by the Asian Art Association Singapore (AAA). It is a professional Chinese music competition that recruits contestants from all over the world. Entries should be performed as solos using Chinese musical instruments or as ensembles mainly using Chinese musical instruments. Chinese music lovers and professional Chinese music performers from all over the world are welcome to participate.

· The types of musical instruments allowed to participate in the solo group of this competition are as follows:

Stringed Instruments: Erhu, Banhu
Wind Instruments: Dizi, Suona, Sheng
Plucked Instruments: Guzheng, Pipa, Yangqin, Guqin, Zhongruan and Liuqin
Chinese Percussion Instruments: Chinese big drums (including hall drums), Paigu (including big drums or combination drums that use both hall drums and Paigu), panel drums, other drums (such as Xinjiang hand drums, Korean long drums), combined percussion solos (Combined solo works based on "different categories" of Chinese percussion instruments are allowed to use no more than three "small categories" of foreign percussion instruments)

· There is no limit to the types of instruments played by the ensemble in the program, but Chinese instruments should account for no less than 50% of the total, and the number of people (excluding conductors) should be at least 2 and at most 20.

· The competition is divided into groups according to age and professional level, and the arrangements are as follows:

Amateur Children Group: 12 years old and below, the performance time not more than 6 minutes, one piece of self-selection, no accompaniment
Amateur Teenager Group: 13 to 17 years old, the performance should not exceed 9 minutes, one piece of own choice, no accompaniment

Amateur Youth Group: 18 to 45 years old, each performance time no more than 10 minutes, one or two songs of your own choice, accompaniment allowed

Amateur Middle-aged and Elderly Group: 46 years old or above, the performance should not exceed 10 minutes, a piece of one's own choice, with accompaniment allowed

Professional Children Group: 12 years old and below, the performance time no more than 6 minutes, one piece of own choice, no accompaniment

Professional Youth Group: 13 to 17 years old, the performance time no more than 9 minutes, one piece of self-selection, no accompaniment

Professional Adult group: 18 years old and above, each performance time no more than 10 minutes, one or two songs of your own choice, optional accompaniment

Amateur Ensemble Minor Group: All members are 18 years old or younger, the performance should not exceed 10 minutes, one piece of self-selection
Amateur Ensemble for All Age Group: No age limit, the performance no more than 10 minutes, one piece of your own choice

Professional Ensemble Minor Group: All members are 18 years old or younger, the performance should not exceed 10 minutes, one piece of self-selection

Professional Ensemble for All Age Group: No age limit, the performance time no more than 10 minutes, one piece of your own choice

· There are no restrictions on the types of musical instruments, but Chinese musical instruments should account for no less than 50% of the total, and the number of people (excluding conductors) should be at least 2 and at most 20.

· Contestants can use different Chinese musical instruments to participate in multiple solo group and ensemble group.

· Contestants are required to memorize music scores when recording (except for ensembles).

· The registration fee for this competition is SGD 99/person for the amateur solo group, SGD 129/person for the professional solo group, SGD 199/group for the amateur ensemble group, and SGD 299/group for the professional ensemble group.

· All performing members of the ensemble will receive certificates, but only one trophy will be awarded to the ensemble organization.

· How to submit your work: You can provide a link to the official website application form through a file sharing website (such as Google Drive, Baidu Cloud, Dropbox, WeTransfer, Microsoft OneDrive, etc.). Please note that we do not accept any links from video streaming websites such as Youtube, Vimeo, Youku, iQiyi, etc.

· The participating videos must be recorded in horizontal screen mode and must not be edited or edited. They must be original performance sounds. The camera lens and the seat should be kept at an appropriate distance so that the height of the erhu can be fully seen. Please name the video file with "Participant's name-Performance name" and put all files in the same folder. Just share a folder link please.

·The judges will give comprehensive scores and be ranked according to their scores. From every 100 works, 5 will be selected for PLATINUM, 10 for GOLD, 15 for SILVER, 20 for BRONZE, and 50 for participation certificates. And set up the Outstanding Original Music Award and the Outstanding Tutor Award. All contestant mentors of the PLATINUM, GOLD, SILVER and BRONZE winners will receive the Outstanding Mentor Award. The organizing committee has the right to adjust the number of winners based on the number of entries and performance level of each group.

· The judges will score based on multiple dimensions such as the difficulty of the music, mastery of performance skills, and musical expression ability. When contestants choose their own repertoire, they should choose music that can demonstrate their highest level of performance.

· Contestants must attach the electronic score (in PDF format) of the published music of their choice when registering for reference by the judges. The electronic music score file should indicate the name of the contestant and the participating group. If there is no published score, please provide the composer's consent.

· Please submit a Chinese or English description of each track (maximum 100 words).

· Before the performance, face the camera and announce, "I am XXX, from XX city, XX country. Today is DD, MM, 2024. The following program is for the World Chinese Music Competition organized by the Asian Art Association Singapore. The instrument I use to play is xxx, I participate in the xxx group, and the name of the performance is xxx." and then performed directly without any cuts.

· The entries can only be performed by oneself, and it is strictly prohibited to misappropriate other people's works. If there is any infringement, except for the recovery of rewards in accordance with the law, the creator will be responsible for his own legal liability and has nothing to do with the organizer.

· Entries will not be returned, and entry fees will not be refunded. AAA has the rights to collect, broadcast, exhibit, publish, etc. the selected winning works, and will not pay any further remuneration or rights fees for future use.

· Please confirm that the AAA information is correct. If you modify the information or resubmit the work before the registration deadline, you will need to pay an administrative fee of SGD 10. After the registration deadline, no modifications are allowed.

· The content on the certificate is based on the information filled in when registering. Please fill it in carefully. If you find any errors, please contact the competition organizing committee within 15 days.

· AAA has the final right to interpret this event. Signing up to participate indicates that you abide by the selection rules and the final selection results of the organizer.
