In December, 2019, Covid-19 struck without warning, and it spread at an unprecedented rate through 2020. As the country and the world witnessed increasing numbers of cases of the disease, the human race is faced with challenges like never before, but we are united in the fight against the pandemic. With compassion and integrity as its founding principles, Macao Pui Ching Middle School has always encouraged its students to shoulder their social responsibilities and help those in need.
Our Visual Arts Department has been experimenting with various educational reforms over the years. Its mission is to inspire students to develop their talents in the arts through different platforms and give back to society. We are honored to have the opportunity this year to participate in The Fight COVID-19 :World Charity Painting Competition held by the Asian Art Association. The event is a great way for young artists to broaden their horizons through interacting with their peers from around the world.
The pandemic is taking its toll on us in every part of the world, but with love we will prevail. Student artists are using their paint brush to record the relentless dedication of the frontline healthcare workers and express their appreciation and support for their selfless contribution. May our young artists serve as instruments to fill our heart with positive energy and gratitude for life.
