Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Primary School was most delighted to participate in the 2020 World Charity Painting Competition. We believe that all our pupils can be champions of worthy causes and this was an excellent opportunity for them to express their thoughts and feelings about the ongoing pandemic through their unique art pieces.

Our school’s Learn for Life Programme (LLP) in Visual Art and Design develops our pupils’ critical and inventive thinking skills and teaches them to communicate their ideas effectively and creatively through art. Under the guidance of our capable teachers, our pupils are well-supported in translating and actualizing their ideas into marvelous works. Through the art-making process, pupils also acquire civic literacy, global awareness, cross-cultural skills and design principles. This is a key process in developing our pupils’ visual literacy and helping them make meaning of their artworks.

Our school believes that every external art competition or activity is a great opportunity and platform for our pupils to showcase their talents. We hope that these talented individuals can continue their pursuit of art, and serve as an inspiration for budding talents to champion causes that are close to their hearts.
