Peace over war

Rosabel Lu Gardiner, Australia

My artwork talks about how peace should always come before war. I drew peace above the war to show that peace has a higher rank than war. With peace, you have freinds and family and you are happy. With war, you will experience a lot of grief and happiness is hard to come by due to the chaos and loss. Doves and flowers represent peace, and the yellow sunset represents happiness, goodness and end of the war. The four soldiers were packing up after war, taking bullets out of their guns. The soldier in fromnt was holding binoculars watching the faint smoke rising from teh distant pin forest. The house and buildings were ruined in the war, showing how much damage war can do, physically and mentally, and sadly, sometimes, nothing can fix it. (Let Colour Soar, SG)

The Concord Dream

Yuan Zixuan, Singapore

A fictional and futuristic world that seeps beyond imagination. The girl sitting on the cliff - her name is Meryl. Born with a unique 'power' to spread everything she loves to the kids all over Planet earth, she provides each child with the ability to study, play games, have a proper meal, a family, and even a house. Under the universe, she wants to provide a loving and peaceful world to all, specially those at war. ------------------------- The most difficult part i had to deal with was the body proportion of Meryl - especially since that was the first time drawing a full body. The part i'm most satisfied is the galaxy (sky) because i think, using colour pencils, I blended it to make it look like an actual galaxy, which is fictional. Mainly, i used color pencils to add color to most parts in the work. However, I also used colored markers for smoother surfaces, like the tent, campfire, Meryl's clothes, and the tree. All in all, I am satisfied with the art piece, and most importantly, it represents _love and peace._`` (Tree Art, SG)

Last but not least, the galaxy represents the idea that everyone in the universe should be kind, sharing love, peace, and friendship—even aliens, if there are any. With these efforts, the universe ought to be filled with love, harmony, friendship, and peace. (Tree Art, SG)

On the other side the astronaut sister also wanted to go to the other side of the earth to see love and peace. We all look forward to love and peace. This is for Ukraine

Sage Ong Yi Ying, Singapore

My hope for the future is World Peace where one country would not foist its political agenda or ambition on another, tearing homes and families apart. This artwork commemorates the beauty and heritage landmarks of Ukraine, where calm and serenity had once prevailed. In the ugliness of war, we also see the solidarity shown by other nations and love offered by people of other nations who took the refugees to their hearts and home. I wish for peace for Ukraine where families can reunite and for the rest of the world where tensions are bubbling. World peace is very important as it keeps the world together.

Peace and hope

Ethan See, Singapore

War has resulted to many innocent lives and homes destroyed and taken away. This causes a huge increase to the amount of refugees from countries that faced war, People have to move and find home in a blink of an eye and have to find new ones as they have kids with them. This is very saddening as we should love everyone and earth. If war keeps happeing, it will destroy humanity and earth. We should look into helping these refugees find new homes and foster peace around the world. We should be the hope for those who lost everything due to war. (Let Colour Soar, SG)
