Antonio Biagiotti

Photographer / Italy

ABOUT

Antonio Biagiotti was born in 1971 in Porretta Terme, in the province of Bologna, Italy.

Since 2012, he has been happily married to his first supporter, Sara, who is also a severe critic. Through her objective assessment, she has greatly promoted Antonio's growth and progress. From a young age, photography has been Antonio's greatest hobby: At the age of thirteen, he purchased the first real camera, the Pentax K1000, and entered a beautiful world of shutter speed and aperture shooting.

This enthusiasm has grown over the years, and at the same time, Antonio's camera kits have continued to evolve. He uses 4 × 5 large format or 67 medium format systems to make photos. They consist of a variety of camera bodies and a large number of lenses, which allows Antonio to creatively interpret the most diverse photographic works.

He joined Global Artists Committee of Asian Art Association in 2020.

Black and white photography

Like all boys of my generation, I took this photo with color film, but the more I liked this art form, the more I was attracted to the magical world of black and white. I found a special charm in the photos I took in this way. I was fascinated by the high level of creativity of this technology during the exposure of the film and the development and printing process. So I started setting up my darkroom for all photographers who still use this technology to show my heart.

Today, digital images have almost completely replaced traditional photographic film, and in many ways digital technology is great. Personally, I don't object to all digital photography, but I hate overusing image processing programs to change or completely change the picture, and it is impossible to tell whether this is real or fictional. Unfortunately, when I saw a photo that captured me today, after a while of enthusiasm, I instinctively flinched my doubts and thought, "I am looking at a real photo, or is someone using some sophisticated Photo processing software that makes me feel interesting ??? ".

Therefore, I really want to tell you that my photos are real and not edited on a computer. The light left a short image on the exposed film.
