World Heritage Day is a day to promote the importance of cultural diversity and historical heritage to the world. This year, we will show the world the charm and uniqueness of multiculturalism in the form of paintings. Whether it is ancient architecture, magnificent natural landscapes, traditional handicrafts or the various forms of culture created by mankind, they are all our precious heritage that deserves to be explored and presented with care.
This competition will provide a platform for all those who love art and heritage preservation to showcase their creativity. We welcome all forms and styles of painting and drawing, be it realism, abstraction or decorative arts, as long as they express the theme of "diversity" and demonstrate a unique understanding of World Heritage.
A jury of professional artists and heritage experts will be invited to judge the entries and award certificates of merit and prizes to the winners. Winners will have the opportunity to receive an exclusive T-shirt from the National Heritage Board of Singapore, and the winning entries will be collected into a album and distributed to the public at the National Museum of Singapore, Asian Civilisations Museum, Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall (Wan Qing Yuan), Malay Heritage Centre, and Indian Heritage Centre.
Participating in this competition is not only a tribute to World Heritage, but also an exploration and embrace of diversity. Let's spread the beauty of cultural diversity together through the power of art and let the light of World Heritage shine in every corner of the world.
