About
Eugenia Jaeger was born in 1963. Her life and art works are shaped by different cultures and countries. Born and raised in Kazakhstan in a Russian family, she has been living and working as a freelance artist in Germany and also have cooporations in other European countries for 2 years.
In her pictures she have often dealt with the analysis of the relationship between the individual and the environment in recent years. She also call it "territory", "space", with the limits of our perception, the fragility of space and time parameters. It is also about the impact of humans on their environment, sometimes it can lead to physical changes in space and distortions of our perception. A "flow" in her pictures is sometimes an expression of this change in complex relationships between cultural objects and nature as well as between reality and fiction. In her graphics, she often use photographic motifs and documents that focus on just a few important details and their composition is reduced by strong black and white contrasts.
