About

Chen Kunhua was born in Shanghai and used the name: Chen Kunkun. In 1979, she was admitted to the Piano Department of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music.In 1985, she was admitted to the Shangyin High School. In 1988, she studied piano and composition.

In 1991, she was admitted to the Piano Department of Shanghai Conservatory of Music with outstanding results. While at school, the pianist studied under Professor Yu Chaozhi, and studied the piano major with Joyce Z. Lindorff, a famous American pianist and educator.

She graduated from the Piano Department of Shanghai Conservatory of Music in 1995 and been meember of the Singapore Composers Association in 2002. She became a member of the Singapore Musicians Association In 2017.

She joined Global Artists Committee of Asian Art Association in 2020.

Won third place in Shanghai Children's Piano Competition in 1980;
Won second place in the Shanghai Music Composition Competition in 1989;
Won the second prize of the Shangyin Piano Competition in 1991;
In 1996, he won the second prize in the Singapore Chinese Song Composition Competition;

Teaching

In 2010, cen won the overall champion of ACS primary school musical instrument competition in Singapore.
In 2011, his student, palatto tianyi (10 years old), obtained an associate degree in piano (associate degree, ATCL) from trinity college, London. In the same year, he won the second prize, the first prize and the first prize of composition in the final of Singapore national composition and composition competition for primary school students.
In 2012, di dong tian yi, a student, won the second place in the first Young Talent Project (piano performance) in Singapore.
In 2015, student di dong tianhui (5 years old) won the platinum award of the 9th Hong Kong international youth festival. Di dong tian yi (12 years old) won the diamond prize; In the same year, these two students won the championship of the 9th sino-singapore international music competition.
In 2017, more than 10 students participated in the 10th china-new Zealand international music competition and won more than 10 titles. The rest of the students were ranked.
Ten students took part in the 13th china-new Zealand international music competition in 2019, and all won other awards of the championship level.
In August of the same year, student di dong tian yi won the champion of Singapore national piano competition. He was awarded a professional diploma (Licentiateship, LTCL) of trinity college, London with distinction.
In November, student di tung tin wai (aged 10) obtained a professional diploma (Licentiateship, LTCL) from trinity college, London.
