About

A well-known Hong Kong writer, screenwriter and director, dubbed "the first talent in Hong Kong". Knowledgeable, blends Chinese and Western cultures, is famous for his spicy writing style, and is proficient in poetry, prose, essay, painting, and English literature.

After graduating from studying in the United Kingdom in the 1980s, Chip Tsao served as a BBC reporter. In 1991, at the invitation of martial arts novel writer Louis Cha Leung-yung(金庸), he returned to Hong Kong as the Deputy Chief Editor of MingPao. He has worked as a columnist, host, commentator in well-known media organizations such as Apple Daily, Oriental Daily, Headline Daily, AM730, Commercial Radio, Phoenix TV, TVB and other well-known media organizations.

He joined Global Artists Committee of Asian Art Association in 2019.

LITERATURE

Chip Tsao writes mainly in Chinese and has also written columns in English in publications such as "HK Magazine". Chip Tsao is well-known for his fusion of Chinese and Western cultures and writing styles. His articles are good at figurative methods, often citing ancient and modern Chinese and foreign literary works, history, art, politics, and character relationships. Coupled with its rich subject matter, his works include religion, political theory, history, language, art, music, etc., and are known as "talents."

PAINTING

Tsao also loves painting in addition to writing, and he has different ink and impressionist styles. He said that he had studied painting with 歐陽乃霑 in middle school, so his style of painting was also influenced by him. He studied drawing, watercolor, pastel, and oil painting at Linghai Art College in Gloucester Road, and Chinese painting was a self-taught study. ; Painting is his amateur interest, I never thought of being a painter.
