Minyan Zhang, female, born on Feb. 6, 1964. She was a lawyer and a prosecutor. She was also appointed as the special correspondent and reporter for local and national magazines, radio and television stations.

Since 1992, she has published many legal reports, articles, fictions, and feature documentaries in major media and accepted various interviews. In 1997, she won the Spiritual Civilization Gold Award of the Supreme Procuratorate.

In 2000, she initiated and organized the First Shanghai Online Composition Competition for High School Students sponsored by Shanghai Education Press and Literary Newspaper.

In Jan. 2022, Ms. Zhang was invited to be a member of Global Aritst Committee of Asian Art Association.

Winning Works

Besides her career, she has been an active writer in the literary world. Both her “Four Seasons of Life ---Seeking Medical Treatment” and “Blood Sucking Hemodialysis” won National Reportage Awards.

“Blood Sucking Hemodialysis” published by Beijing Literature Journal in June, 2014 was placed fourth on the List of 2014 Excellent Reportage; was selected into 2014 Top 5 of the latest works of Chinese Contemporary literature; and was chosen as the first piece out of 14 Top Selected 2014 Reportage by China Writers‘ Association.

Personality

Ms. Zhang was naughty and active in her childhood, chivalrous and upright in youth, cheerful and open-minded in middle age, and now is loving of life and enjoying challenges after retirement. She won “I am the King” Shanghai Auto Racing Award and received several top prizes in local pet competitions.

Recently, she shows great interest in learning English, history and philosophy. Meanwhile, she loves traveling, singing, golfing, painting and playing piano. She maintains her curiosity about the world and nature, stays optimistic towards life and holds a strong belief in “Never too old to Learn”.
