Qiu Chuan is a Chinese dynamic mechanical art designer, mechanical engineer, mechanical designer, and member of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society. He has been engaged in mechanical dynamic art installation design and mechanical engineer mechanical design for a long time. His works are collected by Beijing Watch and Clock Museum and private collectors in many countries such as USA, UK, France, Australia, Singapore and Canada.

In May 2023, he was invited to join the Asian Art Association Singapore (Sculpture and Crafts).

From 2009-present, he has been working as a mechanical design engineer. He has always had a keen interest in art, and in 2018 he started working on dynamic mechanical art installations, and in 2019 designed and built his first single-axis tourbillon, followed by several different types of tourbillons. He is working on other extremely complex timepiece art installations.

In June 2023, his work won the Excellence Award in the 3rd ICAD International Contemporary Youth Art and Design Competition and the 3rd Prize in the 2nd HKDADC Hong Kong Digital Art and Design Competition.
