ABOUT

Born in Dusseldorf, Germany, JOCHEN CERNY inherited the grandmother's artistic skills. His grandmother was an enthusiastic photographer with an extraordinary sense of detail in black and white art, and his father worked as a marketing consultant with top industry photographers.

After completing his studies, he first tried to become a professional photographer, but later chose to pursue the profession of an international banker.

It was only recently that he regained his passion for photographic art. After reuniting with one of the most famous photographers in the world, Andreas Gursky, his childhood was affirmed, his talent was confirmed, and he was inspired to make his photography more professional.

He joined Global Artists Committee of Asian Art Association in 2020.

TECHNOLOGY

Today, Jochen's style is characterized by his own developed and perfected "CMPB technology", which digitally processes the color of the underlying object without alienating the object itself, combining various individual post-production techniques into a unique art form in photography in. Recent works have seen a shift to digital photo painting and art forms, which makes his work different from traditional photography. His photographs are not intended to tell the "story" in the traditional sense, but he hopes to add vitality to the object itself.

WORKS

In the past few years, his work has won multiple awards in high-profile photo challenges such as Trierenberg Circuit, Monochrome Awards, Fotoforum Magazine, and Viewbug, and won special attention. In addition, his works have successfully held many exhibitions in Germany, London and Hong Kong, and these works have been well received by international art collectors and photography enthusiasts.
