Wan Ji, youth Erhu musician, silver award winner in 2005 China Wenhua Award - Erhu (Professional Youth), bronze award winner in China Golden Bell Award, associate professor of Erhu in Wuhan Conservatory of Music (WHCM), graduate supervisor. She graduated from Shanghai Conservatory of Music (SHCM) with a master degree in Erhu performance and teaching. She is also a member of ‘Hubei 100 Talent Artists’, deputy general secretary and executive member of Chufeng Erhu Society in Hubei Musicians’ Association, founder of an Erhu performance band, ‘Ji Yun Shao Qin Bang’.

In April 2023, she was invited to join the Asian Art Association Singapore and be judge of World Erhu Competition 2023.

She has been invited to Europe, Asia, North America and Oceania as guest Erhu performer and guest lecturer; collaborated with Iceland National String Orchestra, the Berlin Acabellas, Switzerland Fusion Jazz Band, Jiangsu Chinese Orchestra, Orient Chinese Orchestra in WHCM, Orient Symphony Orchestra in WHCM, and ‘Wang Yongde’ Erhu Studio; visited countries and regions including the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, Iceland, Ireland, Russia, New Zealand, Japan, Malaysia, Taiwan and Macau.

She held solo concerts and concerts with her students in Shanghai and Wuhan. The sincerity and simplicity in her passionate performance style transmits and inherits the essence of traditional Chinese culture as well as features the subtleties of periods, regions and genres that are embedded in music works.
