Miguel Kairuz

Painter / Philippines

ABOUT

Miguel “Mike” Kairuz was born to a Lebanese father and a Filipina mother, is self –taught, mentored by the late artist Larry Tronco when he was 9 years old. He wanted to take up Fine Arts in Painting but was prevailed upon by his mother who did not see a bright future for her son as an artist. Spending several years in California, USA, the art scene enkindled his desire to paint and upon returning to the Philippines, his love for the arts became his profession. It is a never ending battle experimenting on all kinds of art and medium and he never sticks to one particular style. His style are thus of total different strokes and modes, which shows his strength and limitations as an artist. He likes to bring together a harmony of imagery styled in figurative-psychedelic expressionism in Pen and Pencils, Oil and A.

In January 2021, he was invited in Global Artist Committee of Asian Art Association.
