Mohenjo-Daro, a UNESCO Site in Pakistan is an ancient urban settlement. The inhabitants were well educated and peace-loving. Remains of a university had been excavated. Their Language is yet to be deciphered.

My canvas is shortly visiting Mohenjo-Daro to dig-out the loveletters of charming ‘Jiya’ who addressed to her lover who was her university fellow some 5000 years ago. To decode her language is easier to me because I learnt it from a university fellow of mine too. She taught me how to ‘see’ the sounds of love, and how to ‘listen to’ the colors of emotions.

Himalayan Railways

The watercolour painting of The Darjeeling Railway captures the scenic beauty of the hilly terrain in the Darjeeling region of India. The painting showcases a steam locomotive chugging along a winding track, surrounded by lush green forests and mountains. I (the artist) have used a soft and delicate colour palette, primarily consisting of greens and blues, to create a serene and tranquil atmosphere. Bold strokes of darker colours are used to accentuate certain features of the landscape as well as the train. The thin and transparent washes of watercolours have been blended seamlessly to convey a sense of depth and texture to the landscape. The painting is a beautiful representation of the iconic Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a popular tourist attraction in India.
