The Great Wall of China The Great Wall of China is called the "Ten thousand li Great wall" in Chinese. In fact, it's more than 6000 kilometres long. It is one of the wonders of the world. Red // My parents are from china and I heard about the forbidden city full of rich historical meaning .China flag representative Color is red it represents a joyous occasion hence I added a lot of red elements into the painting from the roof decoration to the red panda.I watched”turning red” the animation film where the girl turns into the red panda and I found the red panda very memorising and interesting. Singapore's Heritage Shophouses // I chose to paint the shophouses in Singapore because they are unique to Singapore. They are special to me beacuse you can live above and come down to shop. Mystery of Korea // This painting describes the memories of a girl traveling in Korea. She saw the national flower of Hibiscus syriacus, the traditional architecture Namhansanseong and the people, things she met.There is also the famous island, Jeju Island. One Roof, One Community, One Nation // The Hawker Center in Singapore was inscribed as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2020, making it a popular tourist destination for Singaporeans. My parents enjoy bringing friends from abroad to their favorite food and my favourite food is Prata. It is a community dining room where people of all ages, backgrounds, and ethnicities can gather to enjoy the famous chicken rice and nasi lemak stalls. During the pandemic lockdown, Singaporeans are promoting food on social media to protect their culture just like the song goes ‘We’d gather our dreams again, come round I’ll be here, right with you’. Singapore Botanic Garden // Botanic gardens are the first natural landscape Belle visited in Singapore. She is most impressed with the bandstand, and in her imagination it becomes a beautiful castle with a princess living in it. Heritage in my memories // I drew three different cultural heritages from Singapore, Malaysia, and China. I am from Singapore and I visited the Singapore Botanic Gardens, which is a heritage site in Singapore. I also visited Malaysia and went to Melaka where I learned about the Stadthuys, which is a part of Malaysia's heritage. Colors of My Heritage: Celebrating the Natural Wonders of Scandinavia // My name is James and I am 7 years old. Drawing is my happy space where I can express my creativity and imagination and it also makes me happy ever since I was little. I was born in Dubai and have a Swedish mum and Danish dad. Every summer we travel to Denmark and Sweden. I love nature in Scandinavia and it gives me a lot of inspiration. In my painting I made a Swedish flag and each square represents unique culture and beauty from the heritage sites of Ilulissat Icefjord, Kujataa Greenland, Aasivissius luit hunting ground and last one Stevns Klint. It is protected by a few mythical creatures, Pegasus is one of them. I want to capture this beautiful scene with an elegant crane in my artwork as crane is viewed as a national treasure, also known as “Bird of Happiness” in Japan. Itsukushima Floating Torii Gate // This is a Torii gate. A torii gate is a traditional Japanese gate and is most often seen at Shinto shrines, which are thought to be the homes of the Shinto gods. The torii gates mark the gateway between the human world and the sacred world. You can also find a torii gate at the entrance of a Buddhist temple. It facilitates business trade between the East and West.While the tangible products were the cause for the creation of the Silk Road, the intangible transfer or culture, art and ideas has had the longest lasting effects. It encourages mutual respect for other ways of life and is the knowledge and skills that is passed on from one generation to the next.
