Ms. Zhanghe, born in 1992, is a Chinese Zither artist. She has been a fan of music since childhood, dreaming of playing various musical instruments. The first instrument she has ever played was piano, but she was fascinated by the sweetness and lingering charm of the Chinese Classical music and became greatly interested in the traditional musical instrument of Chinese Zither. She began to learn Chinese Zither at 8 years old.

She was admitted to Music Department of Art College of Guizhou University and officially started professional study of Chinese Zither in 2011. She earned Bachelor of Arts in 2015. She has been studying from and exchanging with Chinese Zither artists and educators during her time in university.

I have been a fan of music since childhood and love to play Chinese Zither. But I never dream of teaching Chinese Zither. From the moment I decided to choose Chinese Zither as the cause of my lifetime, I always dream of performing on stage but resistant to teaching. However, I could not find the meaning of existence during the time of performing, which frustrated me tremendously.

On the contrary, my teaching ability and inspiration have been improving during the long-time working. I fall in love with teaching gradually and find it more meaningful and valuable for me, for I can have an impact on many people with my teaching. Thus, I no longer feel frustrated to Chinese Zither, and I realize this is what I should do.

It’s been a happy journey for me to be dedicated to a career with Chinese Zither. I finally have the feeling that I am willing to put all my efforts and passion to one thing, which makes me love Chinese Zither more.

Since 2016, I have been teaching Chinese Zither in the training institutions in Guangzhou. I constantly summarize methods of teaching Chinese Zither. As a member of R&D Department of Chinese Zither classes, I am involved in designing Chinese Zither classes and compile Chinese Zither books, which has made great contribution for the update of courses for the training institutions.

In 2017, I was invited to play Chinese Zither at the Exchanging Chinese Zither Concert by Guangzhou, Zhuhai, Zhongshan and Macau Young Artists, and earned great remarks;
In 2018, I became the Chinese Zither Advisory Teacher for Han People Cultural Association in Guangzhou.

In 2019, I started to adapt Chinese Zither solo and uploaded the music score on the Internet. Since 2020, I have started to record Chinese Zither performance videos and audios, which have become very popular among Chinese Zither learners and fans.

In 2020, I started to share my teaching of Chinese Zither on the Internet and was greatly recognized by massive Chinese Zither learners. Then I dedicate myself to online teaching of Chinese Zither and has formulated unique teaching systems. I have earned more than 5 million clicks on the Internet for all the upload of music performances and teaching videos.
