A Bottle of Hope

Yang Chuwei, United States of America

In a land far away, there is a forest covered by dark night. All the creatures lived in a world no light ever got to. One day, a water of hope spilled out into this world creating an image filled with light and wonder. Here there is a beautiful bird whose body is made of sunshine dancing on the surface of a lake. On the peaceful shore there are new trees growing. All creatures, when seeing this image, are no longer scared but have regained their courage and found hope to turn the darkness into a bright future. (Tree Art, SG)

Flipping over a new page of hope

Hu Siqi, Singapore

A frontliner was trying to flip over Covid19 with a new page of hope. On the right page, it was the frontliner wearing protective layers, mask, etc, with pictures of the times where we were having vaccination, swap test and news about Corona, etc. A doctor's hand was holding some of the pictures, full of virus outside. On the left page, there was the same frontliner but without mask, protective layers etc. She was trying to get all the past aside and there was children cheering for her with their masks flying away slowly. Art medium: Acrylic Size :40x50cm (San Yi Cultural, SG)

The Fish With Rubbish In Body

Rhea Quah, Singapore

We should not pollute our oceans. They provide food and entertainment to us and are imporant. There are also living animals in the ocean, and we should not harm them. Many sea creatures have died from eating plastic and other trash that could be found in the sea. Lets put a stop to this. (Tree Art, SG)

New Hope

Yirong Olivia Chen, Australia

This artwork was done using water colour and pen on A3 paper. I used mainly lots of black and white to give a good contrast so that the message will stand out. In this pandemic darkness, blanked by the unknowns, the fears, and the never-ending dread, it is our faith, our prayers, our spirits to forge forward that will light up our path to the brighter future. The hands represent all the people in this world. The candlelight represents our prayers and our hope. The doctors represent all the frontline workers working hard to help us in our fight against the pandemic. Together our faith and everyone’s hard works will disperse this pandemic darkness. There will always be a light at the end of a dark tunnel and the doctors are leading us through this covid pandemic. The candle is lighting up our world just as the frontline workers are doing, the newspaper articles show all the outcome and progress of their hard work and success. The vaccine is also helping us fight against covid-19 to help us find hope for the end of the pandemic.

Trust our healthcare and work together!

Liu Jia Yi, Singapore

The turtle and the doctors are the focal points of this artwork. The doctor represents their hard work in saving the COVID-19 patients. As the cases are increasing, I wish that more people could volunteer to help and at the same time trust that they could perform their duties well. However, the turtle is a representation of how humans have overly damaged the environment. These acts caused the loss of our animals. Millions of years ago, mammoths had become extinct. It had been debated that these extinctions of mammals were caused by human’s irresponsible acts of overhunting. I wish that when people see my drawing, it would remind them of the importance of saving our environment and the animals around us. (Let Color Soar, SG)
